The Courageous Project is a two-year initiative born from a passion for our church to become a permanent pillar in Southeast Orlando. At its’ heart, this project is about more than just real estate; it is a spiritual journey to establish a lasting culture of Kingdom generosity within City Place. At the start of 2026, we declared a shift in our spirit: we are moving from Cautious to Courageous. We believe the Lord is calling us to: "Impact the One"—a dedicated commitment to reaching 1% of our local community with the transformative love of Christ and acquire a permanent home that allows us to transition from a weekend gathering to a constant, life-giving presence in the neighborhoods we serve.
Joshua 1:9 says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” This promise fuels our goal to establish a seven-day-a-week facility that serves as both a spiritual sanctuary for our church family and a welcoming hub for our neighbors. A permanent property will empower City Place to expand its reach, offering a consistent space for worship, discipleship, and community engagement every single day. This initiative is an invitation for all of us to build a legacy that transcends walls, stewarding our kingdom resources to create a space where dreams come alive, purpose is discovered, and belonging are found for generations to come.

THE COURAGEOUS PROJECT
We see a life giving, multicultural, multi-generational, multi-campus church filled with thousands of people worshiping Jesus on the weekend; doing life together in community groups during the week; discovering their gifts and purpose through serving inside and outside of the local church while making a difference in the Central Florida community.
We see weekend services that reach lost people and ignite the Christian. We see an atmosphere of worship where God’s Presence rests every day, where our worship teams write songs that influence and shift culture because we are worshippers first. We see City Place and its families influencing culture from the school classroom to the marketplace through leadership development and strategic partnerships. We see local missions of church planting, mentoring, and serving under-served populations.
We see City Place facilities as a community pillar a place that serves the community seven days a week. It will be a place where community activities and events are hosted. City Place facilities will house education classes, workshops, training, after school and athletic programs, community and business groups, and civic organizations. We see international missions that reflect the type of work being done at home in our local cities- not a few people impacted but 1000’s.
We see a kids and student ministries that function as a community “go to” spot throughout the week, a place where students are impacted through creative and relevant interactive activities - a place where students can know God in a safe place that grows them as innovative leaders. We see thousands of leaders, dream teamers and people being inspired and equipped to impact their world.
We accomplish this by helping people: know God, connect with others, discover purpose and make a difference.
